Qigong is a way of being. Being soft, yet strong. Qigong is a way of breathing. Breathing deeply, yet calmly. Qigong is a way of standing. Alert, yet relaxed.
What is Qigong?
Qigong, pronounced as ‘chee-gung,’ represents ancient Chinese practices, incorporating elements such as movement, focused breathing, visualisations, and meditation. Esteemed as one of the five foundational pillars of Chinese medicine, Qigong is frequently embraced for its therapeutic benefits. Rooted in the traditions of Buddhism, Daoism and Confucianism, the origins of Qigong are deeply intertwined with the principles and wisdom of these venerable traditions. The forms, inspired by nature, animals, and the seasons, create a beautiful flowing movement aiming to cultivate healthy qi (energy) flow through the body.
Join me for Qigong classes situated in South Manchester, where a warm and welcoming atmosphere awaits. Additionally, I provide one-on-one sessions both in-person and online. Whether you are a novice or an experienced practitioner, all are invited to participate in the gentle practice of Qigong. Embrace the inclusive environment, and let the journey begin, regardless of your level of experience.
"Qigong is more than a set of exercises, it is an attitude that works to restructure one's perspective on life, leading to balance and harmony with the world around us."
